Lost Dog Street Band: Looking For The Light

The ethos of Lost Dog Street Band is encapsulated in the dusty backroads of the American heartland. The essence of their tunes is firmly rooted in the rich soil of folk, country, and Americana, their sound echoing the band’s story of struggle and redemption through music.

The band was first formed in 2010, when Benjamin Tod and his wife Ashley Mae decided they wanted to share their love of music with the world. Benjamin sang their songs, accompanied by his guitar, and Ashley brought their sound to life with her fiddle. Just like that, the Lost Dog Street Band journey started. But their road to success has been anything but easy.

From personal demons, to financial hardships, and even the band temporarily retiring in 2022 after the release of their album Glory, Lost Dog Street Band has had to overcome an ocean of obstacles to get where they are today. Their resilience to move past challenges however, and continue making beauty from the ashes makes each album, and each song just that much more precious than the last. Despite the highs and lows, the band has stayed true to who they are and through their music, have connected with thousands of American hearts.

Lost Dog Street Band is characterized by their remarkable ability to find beauty in the most unlikely of places. Their songs serve as a reminder that, even if we find ourselves at the bottom of the pit, there is still hope, still joy, and a world of possibilities beyond our current circumstances.
